✨ Why This Camera

The VG-130 offers a practical package in a simple body: a 14 MP CCD sensor, bright 5x optical zoom, spacious 3.0" screen and 720p HD video.

• 🔍 14.0 MP CCD sensor (1/2.3")
• 🎯 5x optical zoom, 26–130mm equivalent Olympus lens
• 🔎 f/2.8–6.5 aperture (bright wide angle)
• 📺 3.0" LCD screen (230,000 dots)
• 🎬 720p HD video recording (1280×720, 30 fps)
• 🌙 ISO 80–1600
• 🎨 Olympus balanced color character — natural, clean tones
• 💾 SD / SDHC card support
• 🔋 Olympus LI-70B rechargeable Li-ion battery
• 🪶 Slim, lightweight and pocket-friendly body
• 💎 A clean example of the early digital / Y2K CCD aesthetic

The first thing that stands out about the VG-130 is its balance: a 5x optical zoom starting from a bright f/2.8 wide angle delivers sharp shots in good light as well as a pleasant reach at the telephoto end. The spacious 3.0-inch screen makes framing your shots and reviewing them afterward a breeze. The slim, lightweight body slips easily into a pocket or the smallest bag.

The real character lies in the colors. Olympus's balanced color processing renders scenes in natural, pleasing tones without overdoing it. Combined with the texture of the 14 MP CCD sensor, this produces nostalgic, characterful shots instead of the sterile perfection of phone cameras. The 720p HD video carries that same aesthetic into motion.

👀 Who It's For, Where to Use It

A natural choice for anyone looking for a simple, reliable everyday camera, fans of the Y2K / digicam aesthetic, those who value Olympus's balanced colors, and collectors wanting a clean example of the VG series. It's effortless to use and, in this condition, increasingly hard to find.

It delivers natural, clean and characterful shots for cafe and city photography, travel journals, birthdays and family gatherings, and everyday street photography. Thanks to its slim body, it's always with you — a practical everyday camera for social media and capturing memories.

🔥 RetroCameraLand's Take

The VG-130 is one of those "simple but spot-on" cameras. Its bright 5x optical zoom, spacious 3.0-inch screen and balanced Olympus colors make it an effortless everyday compact. Its CCD sensor delivers that nostalgic digital texture everyone's after today, naturally — and the 720p HD video is a nice bonus in this category.

The CCD character shows through here too: balanced, natural colors and that familiar digital look you get with flash. Clean, fully functional VG-130 units are becoming increasingly scarce on the market, which makes this both a worry-free user and a collector's piece that holds its value. Tested and verified, complete with its original battery, charger and a free SD card — ready to shoot.
