✨ Why This Camera

The VPC-E6EX delivers the compact digital spirit of the mid-2000s in a simple, well-balanced package: a 6 MP CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, a spacious 3.0-inch screen, and VGA video.

• 🔍 6.0 MP CCD sensor (1/2.5")
• 🎯 3x optical zoom, 38–114mm equivalent
• 🔎 f/3.3–4.0 aperture range
• 📱 3.0-inch LCD screen (230,000 dots)
• 🎬 VGA video recording (640x480, 30 fps)
• 🎞️ Metallic silver, compact and lightweight body (approx. 153 g)
• 💾 SD card support
• 🔋 DB-L20 rechargeable lithium battery

The 3x optical zoom, spanning from a 38mm wide angle to a 114mm telephoto reach, offers plenty of flexibility for everyday use, from portraits to street shots. Thanks to its lightweight body of around 153 grams and slim profile, the camera fits easily into a pocket or even the smallest bag, so you won't need an extra excuse to carry it with you.

The choice of CCD sensor is the main factor behind the VPC-E6EX's color character. Unlike modern CMOS sensors, it produces more saturated, more "pure digital" tones; that familiar Y2K look that comes with flash is this camera's signature. VGA video recording is a delightful bonus for anyone who wants to bring that nostalgic digital aesthetic to motion as well.

👀 Who It's For, And Where

A natural choice for anyone looking to bring Y2K aesthetics to social media, everyday users after a simple, lightweight compact, retro lovers who adore CCD colors, and collectors looking to add the Xacti series to their collection. Its spacious 3.0-inch screen makes it easy to instantly enjoy reviewing your shots.

It delivers characterful shots at cafés, nights out, birthday parties, travel, and street photography. Its slim, lightweight body makes it easy to get into the habit of carrying the camera with you at all times.

🔥 The RetroCameraLand Take

The real strength of the VPC-E6EX is that it offers a balanced compact experience without going overboard. Sanyo's Xacti series holds a special place thanks to both the era's minimal design and vivid CCD colors; this model is a clean, practical representative of that line.

A 6 MP CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, and a spacious 3.0-inch screen come together to form an enjoyable and practical package in the compact category. The 1/2.5-inch sensor may seem small by modern standards, but it's exactly this combination of CCD and small sensor that naturally produces the "vintage digital" aesthetic that's in demand today. That familiar Y2K look that comes with flash makes the VPC-E6EX appealing to anyone after nostalgic shots and collectible value.
